Good session today with Gary Orfield, who heads up Harvard's Civil Rights project. Gary talked us through the issues around race segregation in America's schools, which is still a real and disturbing fact of life, 50 years after the Brown vs Board case.

Of course, segregation in education isn't just simply a straight forward case of discrimination. As Gary pointed out underlying this problem are very real issues of economic injustice, particularly in the housing market.
